Hope to see you at one.
The UBC Astronomy Club is proud to team up with the Planetary Society, the Canadian Space Agency, and the Royal Astronomical Society to bring you a talk about the history of Canadian space travel.
Fifty-five years after Canada first flew into space with Alouette 1, the Canadian Space Program faces change everywhere, including the shift in human space flight from the Space Shuttle to Commercial Space, shifting sands in the space industry, and new interest in exploring the Moon and Mars. This presentation will look at Canada’s history in space and the choices Canada faces today.
The location will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
