UBC Astronomy Club is back with our January Porteau Cove Event! For those joining us for the first time, Porteau Cove is a dark sky site. This means that it is clear from the light pollution in the city and you will get the unique opportunity to see the full night sky & milky way with your naked eye! Stay tuned for what we can observe during this month's trip. Join us at Porteau Cove on Friday, January 24th for an amazing night! Bring your friends and be sure not to miss this magnificent opportunity! We rely on drivers to make these trips happen. If you drive, you will be reimbursed for gas. If you or your friends can drive, sign up with us on our Facebook Page. We will release tickets directly on our Facebook event page. We will post the exact release time a few days ahead of time so be sure to check back in the week leading up to the event! Tickets tend to sell out very fast so try to be here right around that time. Cost will be $5 per passenger to go to the drivers to pay for gas. We will meet at Hennings at 6pm and depart by 6:30pm. Please arrive on time so we can divide up the passengers and drivers equally. If you need a membership, please try to arrive at 5:45 so that there is enough time to complete the registration process.
Location: Porteau Cove (128 Sea-to-Sky Hwy, Vancouver BC, V7G1L3)
